Providing families access to high-quality Early Childhood Education in the Bronx since 1970

Highbridge Advisory Council Family Services, Inc. is an inclusive community that values diversity in a child-centered environment. Our organization believes that children learn best when they are engaged in a rigorous curriculum and in an environment that promotes an optimal learning experience. Our instructional strategies ensure involvement and engagement of students with disabilities, developmentally advanced, struggling, and linguistically diverse learners. We strive for excellence by cultivation students interest and enhancing their skills in our classrooms. We at Highbridge Advisory Council are committed to building a community of life-long learners.

Our Philosophy

Our educational philosophy of Highbridge Advisory Council, Family Services (“HACFS”) is to maintain and offer a program of daily activities to enhance the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the children entrusted to our care. We are committed to providing quality education and an environment that’s inclusive, respectful and one that will help children thrive. We provide a safe, trusting, caring and nurturing learning environment for all children and the families that we serve. We are committed to providing holistic early childhood education for families that we serve.
At HACFS we believe that all children can learn, and that they should be given the opportunity to share their own educational experiences within the curriculum.

Our Programs

Our programs have served well over 20,000 children. Today, we serve approximately 1,400 children at seven major sites.
The children participate in a variety of services and programs. Families have access to child care, special education, universal pre-kindergarten, family daycare, and a host of workshops and family involvement activities.
HACFS is a dynamic and productive organization. Our team aims to positively impact the lives of the families and students that we interact with. We are committed to the safety and healthy development of the children we serve. HACFS strives to ensure that the children who participate in our programs are prepared to achieve and excel as they grow into outstanding young adults.

Early Childhood Education at HACFS

Children exposed to positive, and stimulating experiences develop enhanced learning capabilities, which will improve their odds for excelling in school.
Children who learn early are more likely to succeed academically, graduate from high school and become part of the workforce.
HACFS Family Services, Inc. offers a wide range of early childhood programs. We offer multi-faced programs designed to accommodate children of all different developmental levels.

HACFS PROGRAMS

HAC offers quality early childhood education for children between the ages of 6 weeks through 4 years of age. Through the use of High Scope and Creative Curriculums, HAC offers a variety of subjects such as Literacy, Math, Science, and Nutrition.

All HAC programs are licensed by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In collaboration with New York State Dept. of Education, New York City Dept. of Education & New York City Administration of Children’s Services, we provide year round early education, through our Family Childcare, Early Childhood centers, Universal Pre-kindergarten Head Start and our Pre-School Special Education Program.

HAC programs are nationally accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and New York State Quality Stars.

At HAC, we have a team of Therapists on site. We offer Speech, Occupational, Physical and Counseling therapy.

HAC also offers parent/family workshops. Some past workshops included Nutrition, First-Aid C.P.R, Pedestrian Safety and Identity Theft.

Lastly, parents will be happy to know that HAC sites are certified to administer medication.
